INDEPENDENCE- in "TRUE" sense.

Today it is our 65-th  independence day. Very often we hear that this is not the independence what we wanted. We wanted something different and what we got is something we never expected etc etc. We love to compare our country with the other developed countries and point out finger at our political system, judiciary, bureaucracy etc. Till now whatever I said, there is nothing wrong in it. This is how a democracy functions. In a democracy, citizens must have the right to question the authority. Now, my humble submission is in spite of a number of  obligations, the way we, mainly our political leaders (irrespective of party line) whom we used to criticize and most of the time abusing them, cant we say thanks to them for not being autocratic and allowing democracy to function? We used to say that the countries like Singapore, USA and some other developed countries and used to criticize our bureaucracy for " RED TAPE" nature. For those who used to criticize this, do you know what is the population of those countries and the number of bureaucrats? Try to understand the problem first. It is our country also. We are not the guests here. Democracy can deliver the best result only when there will be active participation from all section of the society. Whose responsibility is this to control the population? I am sure we cant blame political leaders or bureaucrats for this. Their job is to make and implement the policy. But, we didn't follow it properly. Now, the critics and intellectuals may ask why the Government didn't  punish! Punishment in this case!!! Lets have a discussion in  RAM LEE LA  GROUND, Delhi on this to find out the solution. This is being the new trend, rather new address of the Parliament. And, most importantly  while comparing our countries to the world giants, we should not forget that this only 65-th independence day, we are in such a premature stage in comparison to them. And, there are few countries like China, where there is development but no freedom, democracy. There you cant criticize neither the state nor the state actors.
But, it does not mean we are in a very happy state.  Neither I justifying the wrong doings. My point is very simple- whom to blame- only the authority? Let me say you one thing, we were literally looted and tortured for more than 200 years by the British. When, we got the  freedom, we were enthralled but we had that unforgettable past. We were so tired fighting such a long battle. Still under the leadership of Pandit Nehru we left no stone unturned to make India so much prominent on the World map. We had to start from the beginning. There were a lot of internal problems and at the same time we had to fight few battles with our neighbors. Then, at that crucial juncture the most unexpected thing took place. Disintegration of the USSR. One of the most trusted ally of ours disintegrated. It was a big blow really. Again, we had to start from the beginning, from restructuring the Foreign policies, Defence strategies to Economic policies. But, at that time also, American Secret Service was preparing a report regarding the potential threats in future and they named four countries, viz, Russia, Germany, Japan and India. So, even then also the most powerful country on this shabby earth understood that we have the maximum potential. But, question is why we couldn't reach that spot what is expected. Whom to blame.
I think we all are equally responsible for this. Democracy does not mean practicing your voting power after every five years. Active and constructive  participation is needed from all section of the society rather than blind criticism. Look at the highest hypocracy- whenever a political party does 'Dharna', 'anosan', 'gherao' etc- it has to be political drama, but, when, same thing is been done by a man pretending second father of nation or some "baba" type element, it is nice. Although I do belief we should not shoot the messenger if the message has the relevance. Corruption is an issue and it should be dealt with strongly and i do belief  the best way to eliminate corruption is to replace the corrupt. So, seriously if you think there should be a change, join politics, bureaucracy, defence and other Government jobs and be part of the policy making and implementing body rather than shouting sitting on a cozy chair. Try to be honest and whatever the situation would come don't take or offer bribe. Remember when you are pointing your finger at someone, other fingers of your own hand are pointing at you. And, please for GOD'S shake,  react when others are effected and extend your co-operation rather than waiting for the Government or someone else to act. Lets start it from today. Trust me, our motherland will certainly be a better place to live.

An Exceptional Uprightness draws the expected conclusion

I am talking about Mr. Narendra Kumar, 2009 batch IPS officer who was posted in Madhya Pradesh and was killed yesterday. People may ask why i write "exceptional uprightness". I write it intentionally. Because i do believe today people join this kind of esteemed services just because of glamour, glimpse and most importantly for money. There are very few who want to serve the nation and the public with pride and honour. Yes, Mr. Kumar was one of them and that is why he paid the price. Yesterday, we heard a lot of hollow promises. I knew all these investigations and all were just mere an eye wash- nothing more than that. And, yes the great administration of this great country proved me absolutely right. DIG, Gwalior range said today that it was not the case of illegal mining and no mafia is involved in this killing. And the truck driver was a farmer. Yesterday, Mr. Arnab Goswami asked a question that if a young boy or girl who is a civil service aspirant and is watching the telecast, what lesson he/she is getting from it??? Answer is very simple- Just be like the DIG or other top authorities(there are a lot like this). Don't ever try to be "exceptional" like Mr. Kumar. And then and only then you will get all the desired promotions, postings and will keep enjoying the privileges.
Question is for how long we have to put up with all these??? Answer is also simple- Till we wont wake up. Killing of this honest IPS is not a single incident. There are a number of Narendra Kumars' in this country. karkare, kamte, Dubey, Salaskar, Unnikrishnan, Meheta all are different forms of Narendra Kumar who all are the victims of this rotten system dominated by the political bosses at some point of time. Perspective can be different, but, the consequence is always same for these whistle blowers. Mr. Kumar's wife is expecting. What she will tell her son/daughter that his or her father got the gun salute. Is it enough to give the due to our brave hearts? Each and every day people from security forces get butchered in various parts of this country. What they get after sacrificing their life for the motherland!!!!! Gun salute, few money to the family, some condolences and some hollow promises from the political fraternity. And, sometime the martyr is "lucky" enough that the "busy" masses of this great country come on street and do candle march wasting their precious time for them.
Point is we have time for everything. we have time to go to pantaloons, kfc, inox and so on and on. We have time to discuss the "serious" issues like who is going to form the Government in Uttarakhand, when Sachin should retire or how Messi should play and effects of occupy Wallstreet and all. But, we certainly don't have time to think for the country even once for a day. And that is why our honorable political leaders do all the wrongdoings with pride. Mafias', Goondas' and others like them become so powerful with the help of political bosses that they start doing whatever they want. Political fraternity forget that they are just the representatives of the masses- nothing more than that. They start believing that they are the masters. No one is there to remind them the job they are supposed to do. Because we the great "responsible" citizens of this country are just the mute spectators- silent revolutionaries!!!!! Actually we, the Indians are taught from the childhood that don't need to be proactive to help others, that is why till the individual is not effected he/she does not react. We are taught how to compromise with all unjust and wrong and whatever is happening, just stay focused on the self gain and don't leave a stone unturned for that. Our constant endeavor is to reach the goal(most of the time set by our parents) any how. We are not only selfish but also biggest opportunists. But, still we are "responsible" and "educated" citizens.
Now, it is enough. We need to wake up. We have to save these whistle-blowers. And, these perpetrators should be taught a tough lesson. These goons should be neutralized brutally so others like them should be scared of. I know the balance of the "civilized" society can be disturbed by this then. Many "sensitive" human right organizations can have a problem(surprisingly they are mum on this issue), but, when you are dealing with animals, you should use the language they understand the best. we have to do this for the shake of this country. I really don't know when it will happen!? When we will wake up!? When the outrage will turn into a revolution!? What I know is that time has come and I am optimistic. We will fight and fight hard and will bring the proper change so that the people like Narendra Kumar wont die like this..... May God rest his soul and God bless his family.....

"ISM" vs "FALACY"

In 2009 LOKSHAVA poll, the verdict went wrong for the Left. After 1977, Left lost for the first time. Atlast, a change took place. Bengal saw the "fire-brand" leader (in the media language, she is "AGNIKANNA") and the only "satotar pratik" left in indian politics (it is not my opinion. M.P. Kakoli Ghoshdostider said in a debate show, held in "BANGLAR EKMATRO NIROPEKHWO CHANNEL" (self claimed) Star Anondo that Ms. Banerjee is the only honest political leader in India.) Mamata Banerjee became the railway minister. The despondent masses of Bengal(despondent due to bad governance for more than three decades) atlast saw a ray of hope. Aam admi started to believe that she would surely bring the change. When, Ms. Banerjee took the charge as railway minister, there was 1 lakh vacancy in railway. Stage was all set for her. And, then.................................. then, surprisingly some of the well established intellectuals (those who are close to Ms. Banerjee and her party) got some portfolio in railway, none other than any one else. She and her followers used to talk about "DALOTANTRO"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice and surely a big "CHANGE".
Dr. Banerjee(she claimed that she was doctorate, but, after so much controversaries she never said that it was false statement. So, it's not wrong at all to write "Dr." before her name) once claimed(in 1998) that Champla Sardar(who contested in 1998 panchayet election as TMC candidate) was "gangrapped" by CPI(M) "HARMADS". After loosing the election that candidate, Champla Sardar confessed that the alegation was totaly wrong and she said that under the pressure of the "DIDI". It is surely another example of her "SATOTA". Last month in the debate hour in LOKSHAVA(held after she announced the rail budget), she said that the new expansion of railway track is 710 km, where as, the planning commission said that it was only 59 km. But, she deserves a gold medel, if, you count the number inaugaration("PATHOR POTA") she did during this short period. Recently, Kabir Suman(a famous singer and TMC M.P.) revealed some shocking stories. I can go on like this. There are a lot like these. But, i have no motive to malign her. I even dont have any sort of personal enemity with her. But, what i said it is the bitter truth and an unavoidable reality.
On the other hand, we have to see that what the Left did during their tenure. "LAND REFORMATION", "THREE TYRE PANCHAYETI SYSTEM", "PROVIDENT FUND AND PENSION FOR THE WORKERS OF THE UNRESEVED SECTOR"- these are surely the trade marks which make the communist unique in this country. In, West Bengal, you can get things(the daily commodities and all these) at the cheapest rate. Even, compare the fees structure of the jadavpur university(and other colleges also) with other states, even with the "IITs". You will surely find the differences. That is why even the most downtrdden section like "RIKSHAW " drivers and others(who are "BPLs") can allow their children to go for the higher studies(number speaks all. See the number of madhyamik, higher secondary, graduation and post graduation candidates. Compare this with the past). In other devloped states like Gujrat, Maharastra and many more, they cant even dream of that. In, last 34 years, inspite of high provocation, not even a single riot took place in Bengal. Safty for all is a big factor here. So many people from different regions and religions are living here together happily. But, after Lokshava poll, we witness the increasing number of violence(Incident of SFI activist Swapan Kole and Sauvik Hajra and many more incidents are stil in our mind.).
It is not that the Left Government had not done anything wrong. Favourism politics was there and they have done a number of mistakes. But, it's only the Left who can confess this publicly and trying to rectify. And the Left are the first in corruption, glamour and glitters from last, even the biggest critics of the Left would also agree with this.
In this era of liberization and market economy, there is no alternative of the Left, especially for the poor and midle-class. And, in a country like us, where, near about 77% people earn less than 20 rs. per day, the communism(and the communists) is much more relevant. And, most importantly, if you go through the manifesto of both the parties, you will definitely find the differences. The Left parties have clearly described the plannes and programmes for the next five years, where as, the TMC's manifesto is nothing more than a big joke(turning KOLKATA into LONDON or NORTH BENGAL into SWITZERLAND- i dont think any one (including Ms. Banerjee) took it seriously) So, before casting your vote, please think what change you want to bring, because it's all about our future.

I say to change your self means that change the man or woman who is seen in the mirror. Dont think about what others are doing, because you cant take anything positive from any negative one. When you go to shopping malls and order bergers, do you ever think about that in india more than 37 percentage of people are BPL, you have enough money to efford all this fun, but, they are deprived of their basic rights. Offering bribe is the biggest crime and it should be stopped. Stop giving excuses, stop blaming the establishment, atleast you stop this gaurav. And, every country is looked great from outside, but, whatever it is your ultimate destination "us" or any other country, all have their internal problems. We also have, but, it is our responsibility to solve this, because it is our motherland-our home. But, some people are interested to escape from it, but, frankly speaking i dont want to be an escapist, but, best of luck to you gaurav, hopefully you will make your dream true( to go to "us"). I am just enthrolled with my country. And, chandni, you get me wrong, i never say to change the government, i say to change your self( our selves) to make it a better place or to bring the proper change. And i am concern about not only bengal, actually for me true development means developing INDIA- our country, because i have only one indentity, that is i am an INDIAN. Hope to see INDIA as the super power in very near future, hope to see our national flag is flagging high all over the world so that my other fellow country men will not want to go to "us", brain drain will take place, INDIA will be benefitted by its own children. And we are indians, so if we try we can surely make the country the best. Just be confident, but, dont be over confident. A long way still to go to reach the desired goal.............................

People may think that i choose this platform to criticise the establishment. But, honestly saying i have not any intention like this. I do respect the government or the establishment. Often people say(including some leader) that "it is a wrong policy taken by the NDA or UPA or LEFT or MAYABATI or NITISH KUMAR government". It is really wrong to say like this. In a democratic country like us, we the people vote the leaders and form the government, ministres are not self appointed. But, most of the time we see ourselves critising the government or the leaders or the ministers that they are not good, they are doing wrong and so on. Now, tell me whose fault is this??? If the government is doing right, then it is our credit that we choose the right people, but, if they are doing wrong, then also we should take the responsibility that we choose wrong people in a right place. Very often we say that the system is full of corrupt people, from ministers to all government officials from IPS, IAS, ARMY-OFFICER to a clerck, all take bribe. But, first tell me who offer them the bribe? We often blame others, but, never see ourselves. We forget that when we are pointing out the finger to other, the other fingers are pointing at ourselves. We talk about the bringing change, in actual sense if we really want to change something, then we should change that man or woman who is seen in the mirror. There are two ways of life-1)The things whatever happening, let it be happened, but, sitting on a cozy chair with a cup of tea stop giving comments, and secondly take the resposibilty and try to change. It is upto you that which way you will choose, but, choose only one..... Jaago aam aadmi jaago(drem that the common masses will wake up soon)......................................

We have seen the last budget both the general one and also the railbudget. In a country like us, where democracy means a lot, there from grass root level to elite class people all have so many expectation from the budget. But, it has now become a kind of heritage that most of expectation would be shattered(especially of the grass root level), people would be despondent, but, inspite of this all, people still like to believe all the time that a least this time the real requirements will be fulfilled, but, alas!!!!!!!!! It is a kind of hope against hope. Dont know the things will ever be changed or not................ But, yes of course i am optimistic............ Many people criticise the government for some anti "aam admi" policies, price rise and many more.......... A kind of blame game starts....... But, i never say any one saying any thing about the student. It is very unfortunate that students-the future of this country are just treated asvote materials, nothing more than that.............. We see violence in college election, which is highly non-required. Student loan is at 8% bank interest, see some postering against it, but, just that, no real organised movement against it.............. The elite colleges like IITs and IIMs, look at the course fees, it is beyond of limit of many people........ There are many other problems like lack of good colleges, no updation in syllabus and many more. so, think INDIA think, how much gdp rate you reach or what may be your plans, cant reach the desired spot till your root(the student) is not good enough or taken care of properly............. Hope to change the things very soon........... Good wishes to the government.........
